Applications are invited from the interested candidates to fill 153 Sr/Jr House Surgeon posts at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS). Interested medical graduates can apply in offline mode. Interview and document verification would be conducted during the hiring process. The available positions are for six months from January to June 2025 for different departments. Care should be taken to ascertain the eligibility criteria and the application fee and the last date to apply.

Eligible candidates for the post of Senior/Junior House Surgeon at PGIMS are required to have an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The appointment will be for six months. The selected candidates are required to report to different departments. The applicants are expected to apply as per the required qualification before the due date.
Selected candidates must deposit 50% of the basic salary as a refundable security for each session, applicable separately for House Job. Failure to deposit the security will result in the cancellation of the appointment without providing any reason.
Candidates selected during the first counseling have to join the allotted department within three working days of getting the appointment letter. Those not joining within such time frame will not be considered during the second counseling.
If a candidate is absent without authorization for more than seven days, their services will be terminated without any option for rejoining during the session.
Applications with incomplete details will not be entertained and will be rejected.
Resignation will only be accepted if a valid reason is provided along with a 15-day advance notice or after depositing 15 days' salary.
The security deposit of House Surgeons who leave before completing six months will be forfeited, and no experience certificate will be issued.
Resignation/Termination vacancies: such vacancies arising shall be placed on the institute's notice board and website.
Reservation benefits will only be applicable to SC, BC-A, BC-B, EWS, PWBD, and ESM candidates who are domiciles of Haryana State.
Candidates from BC-A and BC-B categories must provide a fresh certificate issued in 2024-25 as per Haryana Government instructions. Old certificates or OBC certificates will not be considered.
Candidates belonging to the EWS category must submit a certificate for the current financial year.
If at any point during the process from applying to getting hired or afterwards, the candidate is found not to meet the requirements or submit false information, his candidacy will be revoked, and his employment terminated immediately.
